CFPUA employees begin accruing sick and vacation leave on a biweekly basis upon hire. Vacation may be used after completing a six-month probationary period. Leave is provided to all full-time and part-time employees based on policy guidelines.
Vacation
Vacation is accrued based on the following chart:

Sick Leave
Sick leave is provided to employees for illness, injury, or preventive treatment. This leave may be used for the employee, spouse, child, or parent. Sick leave is accrued at 3.692 biweekly for regular full-time employees up to 96 hours per year. Part-time employees may receive a pro-rated amount.
Holidays
CFPUA recognizes 10 major holidays per year. Holiday pay is equal to 8 hours of pay. Employees must work the scheduled day before and after the holiday to receive holiday pay. An employee who is scheduled to work on the holiday will receive 8 hours of holiday pay plus hourly compensation for hours worked.
