CFPUA reminds customers about move to monthly billing

Bill Assistance

Starting in October 2021, CFPUA customers will begin receiving their first bills generated on CFPUA’s new monthly billing cycle.

The change will not affect the rates that customers pay for water and sewer by volume. Because bills will now be issued monthly, the fixed service charges that appear on customers’ bills will be half of what they were on bimonthly bills.

Customers currently enrolled in Autopay will not need to reenroll.

As part of the change, the fee for individual credit card transactions will drop from $3.75 to $3.00. This fee is set by the billing vendor, not by CFPUA.

The maximum amount for individual credit card transactions will be $300.

CFPUA also offers numerous ways to pay your bill that do not carry a fee, including by automatic bank draft, by eCheck online or via the Interactive Voice-Response phone system, by cash or check in-person and at the kiosk at CFPUA’s customer service centers, or by mailed check.

While the transition to monthly billing will begin in October, it is possible that some customers may receive their final bimonthly bill in the first few days of October. In addition, customers’ first monthly bill may be a few days more or less than a month, depending on their billing dates. Subsequent billing periods will be uniform.

To check whether a bill is in the new monthly format, check the "Meter Readings" section near the bottom of your bill:

Bill-read-2If the "Present Read" and "Previous Read" dates are two months apart, that is a bimonthly bill, and your next bill should be in the monthly format.
