During system maintenance on Friday, March 24, the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) experienced a disruption of its corporate email system. While backup systems have been able to recover most of the data, we are unable to retrieve emails that were sent to CFPUA staff between Wednesday, March 18 through Monday, March 23.
It is important to note that customer account and billing data was never at risk and not affected by the failure.
CFPUA respectfully asks our vendors, contract bidders, customers, and job applicants who used email to communicate with the Authority between Wednesday, March 18 and Monday, March 23 to resend their emails to their addressees. While CFPUA’s Notify Me system will reach out to job applicants with this message, we have extended job postings that were slated to end this week for an additional seven days.
