The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has been selected to receive a Gold and two Silver Peak Performance Awards presented by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) in recognition of public wastewater treatment facilities for their outstanding compliance records in the 2008 calendar year. M’Kean Maffit (Southside) Wastewater Treatment Plant was awarded a Gold Peak Performance award in recognition of 100% NPDES permit compliance during the calendar year 2008; and Silver awards for both the James A. Loughlin (Northside) and Walnut Hills Wastewater Treatment Plants for less than 5 violations for 2008.
